D&D Group 2

Hello and welcome to your D&D group! I hope we'll all be good friends. :)

Group Two (y'all can pick a team name if you like) will be signing up with a reasonably good idea that they are there to play a fantasy game. If you think you should not be here, please see me after class and we'll take a look at your registration. (No, but seriously. Let me know.)

There were no real takers for the statistical option, so don't worry that being in group two means you somehow got put in the math one accidentally.

Group Two/TBD consists of:

Graverobber
Sunshine
Eden
Viv
R2D2



I am trying to set up a time/day that will work for everyone as a start time. My hope is that we can get in one good session where everyone is around to start it up and then maybe find a semi-consistent time to meet to finish things up?

Looking at time zones/availabilities, it seems like 21:00 GMT would work as a good starting time?

With that in mind, comment here with what days work for you at that time. Or, if that time will not work for you at all, let me know that too! If we can find a mutually agreeable time within the next week, that would be awesome, but if not, I'm sure we'll work something out.

On the to pre-fab or not to pre-fab, the count I have is thus (let me know if it should be changed):
Pre-Fabs: Graverobber
Rolling your own: Sunshine, Eden, Viv, & R2

If you said that you didn't care on the pre-fab issue, I put you under rolling your own because...otherwise I'll end up doing nothing but rolling characters for the next week.

And to re-clarify: George will be bringing pre-fabs for everyone. If your pup already has a character ready to go when the game starts, awesome! Otherwise, George will give them one. You as a mun are welcome to either roll your pups character or have me do it.

If you want me to pre-fab something for you but you have thoughts on things like race/class/etc., let me know, and I'll work from there.

I'm hoping to keep planning things here so we don't spam up the back room too much. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask them here or PM me.

Looks fun! I'll work on a character soon...Dwarf cleric is tempting, but then so is a half-orc...something. Originally I'd thought a barbarian but I wonder if Viv would be so typical. I'm tempted to go with sorcerer or wizard since half-orcs aren't know for brains or charisma. Or maybe a ranger! I love rangers so maybe I'll see about making one of those.

And I can't wait for the in jokes with R2!

ETA: Which edition of D&D do you plan on using?

Monday thru Friday work best. 21:00 gmt seems to translate to 4pm PST (my time zone) so I may have to tag via email, but I should be ok, though tags may be slow.

I believe that would be 5e, which is fine. I just wanted to know which system for character generation.

OK, because I am a huge nerd, I transcribed the character sheet to a journal entry and even found some art I liked for her character. I hope a goddess from the Forgotten Realms setting is okay for her to worship. I can edit if not.

Post is up here. The first thread is for characters showing up and getting the run down on the game and collecting a character sheet. Regardless of whether you rolled the character or I did, George will be providing them ICly.

The third thread is for the actual game. Assume by that point George has given your character their sheet and let them think on background a little. I figure posting order will just be first come, first served until everyone has commented and that will be the order. If that makes sense. :)

Now that I'm not in a different city/state/timezone for business, I can get down to business!

I can play most afternoons into evenings, CST, though earlier in the day my availability is dependent on workload. just let me know when, and I can arrange to be available in most cases. Making a discord channel/room might be useful for communication and planning as well.

I'm probably going to saddle Sunshine with a Half-Elven Sorcerer with a wild magic sorcerous origin, because she has pre-conceived connotations with the term "sorcerer," and it wouldn't be something she'd choose for herself. :D:D:D

Now that I am (again!) back in my own city/state/timezone, I can say yis! That'll work. I'll be around! 21:00GMT is around 16:00/4pm here, so I may be spotty for a bit around that time, but should be more reliable after work.
