D&D Group 3

Hello and welcome to your D&D group! I hope we'll all be good friends. :)

Group Three (y'all can pick a team name if you like) will be signing up with a reasonably good idea that they are there to play a fantasy game. If you think you should not be here, please see me after class and we'll take a look at your registration. (No, but seriously. Let me know.)

Group Three/TBD consists of:

Wilford
Cecil
Cassidy
Aradia



I am trying to set up a time/day that will work for everyone as a start time. My hope is that we can get in one good session where everyone is around to start it up and then maybe find a semi-consistent time to meet to finish things up?

Looking at time zones/availabilities, it seems like 1:00am GMT would work as a good starting time?

With that in mind, comment here with what days work for you at that time. Or, if that time will not work for you at all, let me know that too! If we can find a mutually agreeable time within the next week, that would be awesome, but if not, I'm sure we'll work something out.

On the to pre-fab or not to pre-fab, the count I have is thus:
Pre-Fabs: Wilford & Cecil
Rolling your own: Aradia & Cassidy

And to re-clarify: George will be bringing pre-fabs for everyone. If your pup already has a character ready to go when the game starts, awesome! Otherwise, George will give them one. You as a mun are welcome to either roll your pups character or have me do it.

If you want me to pre-fab something for you but you have thoughts on things like race/class/etc., let me know, and I'll work from there.

I'm hoping to keep planning things here so we don't spam up the back room too much. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask them here or PM me.

I can generally be around that time of day, barring RL catastrophes. There's been a lot of those lately, so if something seems like it's going to get in the way, I'll let you know.

I'm PST, and while my working days are all over the board, I'm usually home by 8pm. 90% of the time I don't work Sundays, but when I do there's a good chance I'll be home laaaate.

This group is gonna be hilarious. So excited!

I'm available mostly in the afternoons and evenings EST, so just name a date and time and I'll be there. For that first session, any evening would be good.

I have ideas for Cassidy's character, but I'm still working on it. Do you have a good source for all the different kinds of races we can pick from?

The Player's Basic Rules has a pretty good description for character class/race/all that good stuff.

The time's fine, I won't generally have problems making it to that. I can't play on Saturday nights (PST) and even though it's often cancelled I do have a game on Wednesday evenings too.

If we're doing 5e I can make my own character no problem, OOCly. Aradia might take the initiative on that if she had the chance to get a copy of the Player's Handbook from Bar between signing up for the group and showing up to the first session, but she won't have a compatible character sheet on hand in advance since she's never played this exact system before.

I don't have a terribly specific idea, but a rogue or a ranger would probably be up Aradia's alley.

It is 5e, so that should work. She could always get a sheet from Bar if you'd like to go that route!

I spun the random character generator around a few times and was pleased by the combination of "halfling warlock" so I think I'll use that, if it's not too similar to someone else's. I've never played a warlock before and I'd like to give it a whirl.

I might run a little late being on at that time since I don't get out of clinics most nights until then (PST). Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings are completely out, any other weekday evening is good. Saturday and Sunday day are mostly open, still have patient care to attend to twice daily but that shouldn't take long.

If you leave it up to Gabe he will roll a tiefling rogue. Point buy or dice roll stats?
